- Biography: I was seduced by the guitar at a young age. Listening to my dad’s band practice the great rock songs of the ‘50s,‘60s, and ‘70s in our basement created my initial interest at age 6. Growing up just an hour away from the electric blues Mecca of Chicago also left a huge impression on me. With adolescence and the mid-to-late 80s hard rock/heavy metal era, I really got into playing. I would describe my favored playing style as blues-based classic rock with a hard rock edge. I also enjoy playing steel-string acoustic guitar and singing harmonies. I earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Michigan State University and I graduated from the Galloup School of Guitar Building and Repair in 1998. I spent some time building acoustic guitars for Wechter Guitars in the late 90’s and have had my own repair shop running for several years. I really enjoy working with the Private Reserve team and find it very satisfying to be the marketing guy that gets to spread the word on all of these amazing guitars.
